Trying to avoid the independence referendum in Scotland has been like trying to avoid the plague in the middle ages; it’s everywhere and it’s infectious. We won’t be out on the streets fighting for freedom and we won’t be calling unionists ‘traitors’ or scum, simply because it’s not helpful to the debate and the dichotomy of the debate to personally attack political opponents (unless they are fascists…).
Our thoughts on independence have been made clear in This blog post. Like most people and organisations supporting a yes vote in September, we’re quite clear that Scotland deserves change and there is more optimism about that change than there would be in the United Kingdom.
We’ll be watching the debate from our comfortable swivel chairs. Keep your eye open on twitter for our thoughts.
